Do NOT be afraid!!

On the eve of my very first TV interview (four whole minutes on a local news segment) I am thinking this:

God's word would not say "Do not be afraid" 70 times if it was impossible to be free of fear!

It is blessed that my thoughts have shifted tonight from fear of what people might think of me to fear of failing to honor the Lord with my words.

Prayers appreciated.

  1. Praying for you Linda...and I've been seeking those words for an entirely different reason. God is so faithful!

  2. Dear Becky, thank you. Prayers back your way! "I know who goes before me, I know who stands behind, the God of angel armies is always on my side!" (From Chris Tomlin's "Whom Shall I Fear")

  3. I am late seeing this. Let us know how it turns out.

You are so gifted speaking on YouTube and I am sure that TV interview will be to God's glory.

    Hugs and prayers,
    Carol

  4. I lived through the interview, answered every question, and people say I did fine, which I know is due to the kind prayers of family and friends. Thank you, thank you for your prayers. However, one question--if they can put a man on the moon why can't they develop flattering lights in a TV studio?? Joking aside...THANK YOU! Bless you, Carol, Mary, and Becky, my blogger friends.

  5. Linda, you looked fine, young lady. I just enjoyed your voice and composure on the interview. I am older than you are and becoming "an old biddy" and writing about getting permanent makeup eyebrows on my blog next week. We women are so self-conscious and we have to remember that God gets the glory, not how we look. I am sure you know this.

    Hugs and prayers,
    Carol

  6. Yes, Carol, halleluiah! As the date for the interview approached and I nursed regrets over various aspects of my physical appearance I realized that God has chosen the meek and lowly through which to speak His word so that it is apparent that any power present is from Him and not the puny little human vessel He's speaking through. Awesome! However--I don't see what harm a little vanity lighting to the guests' right would hurt so that shadows aren't cast on the face...a ten year old dancer in full stage makeup is the only guest I've seen recently who looked perky and not tired with that lighting! Well...Miss Kansas looked pretty good too...but the rest of us need a little more flattering light!
